This is a cover designed based on a virtual book in the game script [Sensei (sir)] by Japanese author つきのわむく(Tsutsuki no Wamuuku). I aim to provide a better gaming experience to the players.
The virtual book is called "An Empty Monologue", so I wanted to give the whole book a light weight, blank feeling, and used a low-saturation light color. At the same time, only the outer outline of the text was kept to make the text appear hollow.
To further deliver the feeling of “Empty”, I chose to color parts of the text that are close to the edge.
This is the typographic design of the Chinese version.

The book was also designed and translated into an English version. A title layout spanning the entire book jacket was used as decoration, and only part of it was retained when folded up. To reduce reading difficulty, the part of the main title made it possible to read the book without unfolding the jacket. In the title, [An] and [Monologue] are in solid type, while [Empty] retains only the outer outline, so that the book is first read as "a monologue", and only after the reader looks further into the title does he realize that the title of the book is "A Monologue of Emptiness".
